Cody Berkeley is a Dancer, Choreographer, and small business owner based in Los Angeles. He currently dances for Clairobscur Dance Company and is working independently on the development of his own choreographic body of work. Cody has an enormous passion for teaching and coaching young, aspiring artists throughout the U.S. and is currently a freelance choreographer with hopes of transitioning into a deeper realm of choreography in the future. 

Born and raised in Plano, TX, Berkeley attended the New York City Dance Alliance College Scholarship Audition, where he was the recipient of a $160,000.00, full-ride scholarship to attend The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. Berkeley graduated from UArts in 2015 with a BFA in Dance Performance and received the Expressivity award, a prestigious University accolade in recognition of outstanding performance and leadership excellence. During his college career, Berkeley performed works by Doug Varone & Dancers, Aszure Barton & Artists, Sharon Eyal & Gai Behar, Hofesh Schecter, Victor Quijada, and Sidra Bell among other world-renowned choreographers. Additionally, He also created 3 original works in his college career showcasing his point of view as an emerging choreographer. In 2013, he had the premiere of his first choreographic work, alongside 4 colleagues, in two, self-produced evenings of dance in his Philadelphia community. 

In June 2014, Berkeley received an invitation to attend Springboard Danse Montreal, where he would learn the work of Aszure Barton as well as Tom Weinberger, former Batsheva dancer. This was his first time to dance internationally, however soon after he began his fourth year at University, Berkeley got another opportunity for a Performance tour in Europe. Berkeley performed in residency the repertory of William Forsythe and Sharon Eyal//Gai Behar in four different cities in just three short weeks.
